What is the name of the Assassin's Creed game set in ninth-century Baghdad?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed Mirage is the Assassin's Creed game set in ninth-century Baghdad.

Released in 2023, Mirage follows Basim Ibn Ishaq before he becomes a Hidden One. The story is set mainly in Baghdad during the Islamic Golden Age, with the city divided into districts that reflect its political, commercial, and scholarly importance. Basim's journey begins in Anbar before he reaches the Hidden Ones' fortress at Alamut.

Mirage was designed as a more compact, stealth-focused experience than several recent open-world role-playing entries. Its setting allows the game to explore Baghdad's institutions, markets, architecture, and intellectual life while connecting Basim to the wider Assassin's Creed mythology.

Origins is set in Ptolemaic Egypt, Revelations primarily follows Ezio in Constantinople, and Rogue focuses on the North Atlantic and colonial America. None of those games uses ninth-century Baghdad as its principal setting.
