What is the name of the Assassin's Creed game centered on Shay Cormac?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed Rogue is the game centered on Shay Cormac.

Shay Patrick Cormac begins the story as an Assassin during the eighteenth century but later joins the Templars after a crisis causes him to reject his former order. Rogue therefore presents the series' central conflict largely from a Templar perspective, making Shay's change of allegiance its defining feature.

The game is set mainly in the North Atlantic, the River Valley, and New York. Its narrative connects directly to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin's Creed III, including appearances by characters from both games. It also leads into Assassin's Creed Unity through Shay's actions.

Released in 2014, Rogue originally launched for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Although it shares a release period with Unity, Rogue focuses on Shay's Templar career and maritime exploration, while Unity follows Arno Dorian in revolutionary Paris.
