Achilles Davenport becomes the mentor of the colonial Brotherhood in Assassin's Creed III.
Achilles is an experienced Assassin who lives at Davenport Homestead during the eighteenth century. After meeting Ratonhnhaké:ton, he trains him, gives him the name Connor, and helps rebuild the Assassin presence in the American colonies.
The character represents an older generation of the Brotherhood. His past includes the collapse of his own colonial network, and the game gradually reveals how that history shaped his cautious and isolated life. Connor's relationship with Achilles forms one of the story's central mentor-and-student threads.
Achilles is different from Haytham Kenway, Connor's father and a senior Templar. He is also not William Miles, a modern-day Assassin and Desmond's father. Assassin's Creed III was released in 2012 and is set during the American Revolution.
