What is the name of the Animus creator's company in the Assassin's Creed series?

The Animus creator's company in the Assassin's Creed series is Abstergo Industries.

Abstergo is a powerful modern corporation descended from the Templar Order. It develops the Animus technology, which reads genetic memories and allows users to experience events lived by their ancestors. In the original game, Abstergo employee Warren Vidic supervises Desmond Miles's sessions as the company searches for information hidden in Altaïr's memories.

The corporation publicly presents itself as a major multinational organization, while the series gradually reveals its Templar agenda and global influence. Abstergo Industries is therefore not simply a laboratory or a neutral technology firm. It has divisions and projects that appear across later games, including entertainment-focused operations in Black Flag and Unity. The Assassin-Templar conflict continues in the modern era through opposing organizations, with Abstergo representing the Templars' institutional power.
