What is the name of the Animus creator in Assassin's Creed II?

Warren Vidic is the Animus creator named in Assassin's Creed II.

Vidic is a scientist and the head of Abstergo Industries' historical research division. He oversees the Animus program, a machine that allows a user to experience genetic memories inherited from ancestors. In Assassin's Creed II, Desmond Miles uses an Animus under the guidance of the Assassin Lucy Stillman after escaping Abstergo.

The Animus is one of the series' central fictional technologies. It frames the historical sections as experiences reconstructed from DNA, allowing Desmond to relive the life of Ezio Auditore in Renaissance Italy. Vidic's work is connected to Abstergo's attempt to locate powerful artifacts through ancestral memories.

Lucy Stillman is often confused with Vidic because both are involved with the Animus at the beginning of the series.
