The Apple of Eden is an ancient artifact that often grants visions or enables control in Assassin's Creed.
It is one of the Pieces of Eden, advanced artifacts created by the First Civilization, also called the Isu. The series presents these objects as technology that later human societies interpret as magical or divine. Apples can influence perception, manipulate minds, reveal information, and produce powerful projections.
Different stories feature different Apples, and the artifact is not always physically identical in every historical sequence. Other Pieces of Eden include the Staff of Eden and the Sword of Eden. The Apple should also not be confused with the real-world fruit associated with religious or artistic symbolism; in Assassin's Creed, it is a fictional technological relic central to the modern-day conspiracy.
