What is the name of the Alliance race known for their connection to nature?

The story behind the answer

The Alliance race known for its connection to nature is the Night Elf. Night Elves, or kaldorei, are ancient inhabitants of Kalimdor whose culture centers on forests, moon worship, druidism, and protecting the natural world.

Their relationship with nature is especially tied to the demigod Cenarius, who taught the Night Elf druid Malfurion Stormrage. Malfurion became Azeroth’s most celebrated druid, while Tyrande Whisperwind led the society’s priesthood and military resistance. Night Elf society also includes hunters, wardens, and priestesses devoted to Elune, their moon goddess.

The race originally possessed immortality after drinking from the Well of Eternity, but lost it after the Battle of Mount Hyjal and the destruction of the World Tree Nordrassil. After the Third War, they settled around the new World Tree Teldrassil, whose capital was Darnassus.

A common mix-up is confusing Night Elves with Blood Elves or High Elves. Those elven groups are more strongly associated with arcane magic and Quel’Thalas, while Night Elves are the Alliance’s traditional forest guardians and the franchise’s signature druidic race.
