What is the name of the 1969 Ford Mustang that featured a 'shaker' hood scoop?

The story behind the answer

The 1969 Ford Mustang that featured a “shaker” hood scoop was the Mach 1.

Ford introduced the Mach 1 for the 1969 model year as a performance-focused SportsRoof fastback. Its equipment included a blacked-out hood treatment, competition suspension, upgraded interior trim, distinctive wheels, and performance V8 options. Buyers could order an optional functional shaker scoop, whose air inlet was mounted directly to the engine and visibly moved with engine vibration.

The Mach 1 filled the space between the regular Mustang GT and more specialized models such as the Boss 302, Boss 429, and Shelby variants. Its combination of dramatic styling and available big-block power made it one of the best-known Mustangs of the muscle-car era. Ford sold 72,458 Mach 1s in 1969, far more than the 5,396 GTs sold that year.

The wording can cause confusion because the shaker scoop was not standard on every Mach 1. The 1969 Mach 1 normally had a nonfunctional hood scoop; the functional shaker was an option tied to certain engines, including the 428 Cobra Jet. Even so, Mach 1 is the canonical model answer.
