Answer
Venus Williams
Answer
Venus Williams
Serena Williams’s sister and longtime doubles partner is Venus Williams. The sisters became one of the most successful doubles teams in tennis history, combining powerful serving, athleticism, and exceptional court coverage.
Venus, born in 1980, is Serena’s older sister by about 15 months. They won 14 Grand Slam women’s doubles titles together and were unbeaten in Grand Slam doubles finals. Their major victories included titles at the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open. They also won three Olympic gold medals in doubles, in 2000, 2008, and 2012.
Venus and Serena were coached from childhood by their parents, Richard Williams and Oracene Price. Although they often played together in doubles, they were also fierce singles rivals and met in nine Grand Slam singles finals. Serena won seven of those meetings. Their partnership is sometimes confused with Serena’s other doubles relationships, but every one of Serena’s 14 major women’s doubles titles was won with Venus as her partner.
