What is the name of Pokémon Pokopia’s tower-based trial?

The tower-based trial in Pokémon Pokopia is called the Team Initiation Challenge.

Ditto and Professor Tangrowth discover a mysterious tower while restoring habitats. The structure starts a challenge in which Ditto must provide particular items supposedly needed for the well-being of Pokémon. This gives the game a story objective that differs from the badge quests of the main Pokémon series.

The name can be confusing because Pokémon games often use terms such as Gym Challenge, Island Challenge, or Pokémon League. Pokopia’s Team Initiation Challenge is its own story element and is tied to the mysterious tower found during the restoration journey.

Completing the challenge helps move the plot toward the game’s ending. After the habitats have been restored and the challenge is complete, a celebration involving party poppers accidentally activates an emergency evacuation protocol. The supposed structure is then revealed to be a rocket ship.
