What is the name of Pokémon Pokopia’s opening area?

The opening area of Pokémon Pokopia is called the Withered Wasteland.

Ditto is released there after awakening, and the area serves as the game’s first major setting. It is a dry, barren landscape shaped by earthquakes and a long-running drought. Ditto meets Professor Tangrowth there and begins the work of making the environment suitable for Pokémon again.

A major early objective is restoring rain to the wasteland. Tangrowth explains that a Slowpoke’s yawns can summon rain, so Ditto searches for Slowpoke and helps it yawn enough to change the weather. This sequence introduces Pokopia’s central idea: Pokémon abilities are used to repair the world rather than to fight opponents.

The Withered Wasteland is based around what was once Fuchsia City and its surroundings. It also contains a Team Rocket facility near the coast, linking the ruined environment to familiar Kanto locations.
