What is the first paid expansion area released for Pokémon Pokopia?

The story behind the answer

Bubbly Basin is the first paid expansion area released for Pokémon Pokopia.

Bubbly Basin is Part 1 of the three-part Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass. It adds a new town to explore, along with additional Pokémon and furniture. The expansion launched in August 2026, after the base game’s March 5 release.

The content is connected to a free software update that adds the move Dive. By using Dive, players can travel beneath the waves and explore Bubbly Basin’s underwater town, opening a new aquatic area beyond the original regions of the map.

The remaining Expansion Pass parts follow a different schedule. Part 2 is planned for late 2026 and focuses on accessories, more Pokémon, and furniture without adding a new town. Part 3 is planned for 2027 and will introduce another town. Bubbly Basin is therefore both the first expansion part and the first underwater destination.
