What is the name of Peter Parker's aunt?

Peter Parker's aunt is May Parker, better known as Aunt May. She and her husband, Ben Parker, raised Peter after the deaths of his parents, Richard and Mary Parker.

Aunt May is one of the most important people in Peter's life. In early stories, Peter tries to protect her from the dangers surrounding Spider-Man and worries that learning his secret identity could place her in danger. Her kindness, loyalty, and moral guidance help shape Peter's decision to use his powers responsibly.

The character first appeared in 1962, created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko. Different comic-book universes and screen adaptations have changed details of her age, personality, and history. In the main comics continuity, her full name is Maybelle Parker, and she is Peter's aunt by marriage through Uncle Ben. She has been portrayed by Rosemary Harris, Sally Field, and Marisa Tomei in major films.
