What is the name of Mr. Bean’s stuffed bear?

Mr. Bean’s stuffed bear is named Teddy. Teddy is Mr. Bean’s closest companion and appears repeatedly in the television series and related Mr. Bean stories.

The bear is treated by Mr. Bean as if it were a living friend, which creates many of the character’s most distinctive comic situations. Mr. Bean talks to Teddy, protects it, and sometimes uses it as part of an improvised solution to an everyday problem.

Teddy is not simply a decorative prop. The character’s attachment to it reveals Mr. Bean’s childlike imagination and his unusual approach to ordinary life. Viewers may confuse the bear’s name with a description, but “Teddy” is the character’s established name. The bear also appears in the animated series, where its relationship with Mr. Bean remains a recurring theme.
