Liu Kang’s bicycle-based special move is called the Bicycle Kick.
The move depicts Liu Kang rapidly pedaling through the air while striking an opponent with repeated kicks. It became one of the Shaolin monk’s most recognizable attacks and has appeared in multiple Mortal Kombat titles, often as a special move activated by a directional input and button combination.
Liu Kang’s move set also includes his Flying Kick and fire-based projectiles, so the attacks are sometimes confused by players who remember the character mainly for his acrobatic animations. The Bicycle Kick is specifically the airborne attack with the rapid pedaling motion.
Liu Kang debuted in the original 1992 Mortal Kombat and has remained one of the franchise’s central heroes. His fighting style combines martial arts, acrobatics and supernatural fire attacks.
