What is the name of J.R.R. Tolkien’s invented language that he developed especially for the Elves of Valinor?

The story behind the answer

The invented language J.R.R. Tolkien developed especially for the Elves of Valinor is Quenya.

Quenya is one of Tolkien’s best-developed Elvish languages. In the internal history of his legendarium, it originated among the Eldar and was associated particularly with the High Elves who reached Valinor. Tolkien based parts of its sound and structure on languages he studied or admired, including Finnish, Greek, and Latin, while creating a distinct fictional grammar and history.

Quenya remained an important ceremonial and literary language even after Sindarin became more widely spoken among many Elves in Middle-earth. Names and phrases such as Eärendil and Namárië reflect Tolkien’s use of it in his stories.

Quenya is not the same language as Sindarin. Both are Elvish languages, but Sindarin became the common Elvish speech of much of Middle-earth. Khuzdul is the language associated with the dwarves.
