Henry Creel’s younger sister in The First Shadow is Alice. She is the youngest child of Victor and Virginia Creel and moves with them to Hawkins in 1959.
Alice belongs to the family at the center of the stage play’s origin story. The Creels hope their relocation will give Henry a fresh start after troubling events in Nevada, but Hawkins brings new pressures and supernatural danger instead. Henry’s difficult relationship with his family becomes increasingly important as his powers and disturbing visions intensify.
Alice is not the same character as Patty Newby. Patty is Bob Newby’s sister and Henry’s friend at Hawkins High, while Alice is Henry’s biological younger sister. Virginia is Henry’s mother, not his sister, and Terry is associated with Eleven’s family history rather than the Creels.
Alice’s role also connects the play to the Season 4 backstory: Henry’s collapse into violence destroys the Creel family and leads toward his transformation into Vecna.
