What is the name of Frasier's child on the TV show "Frasier"?

The story behind the answer

Frasier's child on the TV show "Frasier" is Frederick.

Frederick Gaylord Crane is the son of psychiatrist Frasier Crane and his former wife, Lilith Sternin. The character was introduced in the wider Cheers universe, where Frasier and Lilith were recurring characters before Frasier moved from Boston to Seattle. Frederick was born during the Cheers episode "The Stork Brings a Crane," which originally aired in 1989.

Frederick is often called Freddy, especially as he grows older. In the original Frasier series, he visits his father in Seattle and appears in storylines involving school, allergies, academic ability, family expectations, and the generation gap between father and son. His middle name, Gaylord, is revealed during the episode "Star Mitzvah," which also plays on the Crane family's Jewish and academic backgrounds.

The role was played by several actors at different ages, including Trevor Einhorn in the original Frasier series. In the 2023 continuation, Jack Cutmore-Scott plays an adult Frederick, who has become a firefighter. “Freddy Crane” is therefore a nickname, not a different child.
