What is the name of Ezio's mentor in Assassin's Creed II?

Mario Auditore is Ezio Auditore's mentor in Assassin's Creed II.

Mario is Ezio's uncle and the lord of Monteriggioni. After Ezio's family is targeted, Mario helps him escape Florence, explains the Assassin legacy connected to their family, and begins training him in the skills and responsibilities of the Brotherhood.

Monteriggioni becomes an important base for Ezio and his allies. As the story progresses, Ezio receives help from figures including Leonardo da Vinci and Niccolò Machiavelli, but Mario is the family member who first takes the leading mentoring role.

This distinction matters because Machiavelli later becomes a major Assassin ally and adviser, while Leonardo primarily supports Ezio through inventions and translations. Mario's role is closely tied to Ezio's transformation from a Florentine nobleman into an Assassin.
