Eivor is the main protagonist of Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
Eivor is a Viking raider who leaves Norway with their clan and helps establish a settlement in ninth-century England. The player can choose a masculine or feminine presentation for Eivor, while the character's name remains Eivor. This choice sometimes leads to the mistaken belief that the game has two entirely separate protagonists; it instead presents alternate versions of the same central character.
Eivor becomes connected to the Hidden Ones, the historical predecessors of the Assassins, through the character Basim and the English conflict with the Order of the Ancients. The story also includes Eivor's adopted sibling, Sigurd, whose decisions are important to the plot.
Valhalla was released in 2020. It combines settlement management, exploration, raids, and role-playing systems with the series' recurring themes of memory, ancient civilizations, and ideological conflict. Its historical setting is based on Viking expansion into Anglo-Saxon England.
