America Gives is the name of America250’s national service initiative for the anniversary year.
The program encourages people to participate in service as part of the 250th-anniversary observance. Rather than limiting America250 to ceremonies and historical displays, the initiative frames volunteering as a practical way for communities to mark the milestone.
America Gives is separate from America’s Field Trip, an education-focused program connected with student engagement and visits to historic places. The names are similar because both belong to the wider America250 effort, but they serve different purposes: one emphasizes service, while the other emphasizes learning and discovery.
