Yeezy is the name of adidas’s signature sneaker line created with Kanye West.
The adidas Yeezy partnership began after West moved from an earlier Nike relationship to adidas. The first widely released adidas Yeezy footwear arrived in 2015, beginning with the Yeezy Boost 750. The line combined minimalist shapes, technical cushioning, and limited distribution with West’s strong celebrity profile.
Yeezy products quickly became major streetwear and sneaker releases. The Yeezy Boost 350, Yeezy 700, and other models developed distinct fan communities and resale markets, while adidas supplied the manufacturing and Boost cushioning technology used in several key designs.
Yeezy is not the same as the Nike Air Yeezy line, which predates the adidas partnership. The adidas collaboration is usually written as adidas Yeezy, while “Yeezy” is the short name used in everyday conversation.
