The maximum number of cars allowed in a Gran Turismo 7 race is 20. That limit describes the game’s standard full-grid capacity, including races and multiplayer formats designed around a 20-car field. It is also why official event descriptions and race settings commonly refer to grids of up to 20 participants or vehicles.
The number can look inconsistent because not every event uses the full grid. Some Daily Races, track layouts or special events start with fewer cars, and technical or format-specific restrictions can reduce the field. Those smaller grids do not change the game’s headline maximum.
Gran Turismo 7 launched in 2022 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 and restored the series’ traditional GT Simulation Mode. Its racing structure combines single-player events, online Sport Mode competitions, lobbies and custom races. The 20-car figure is therefore best understood as the overall race-grid ceiling, not a promise that every race will contain 20 cars.
