What is the historical name of Assassin's Creed III's protagonist, usually called Connor?
Answer
Ratonhnhaké:ton
Answer
Ratonhnhaké:ton
The historical name of Assassin's Creed III's protagonist, usually called Connor, is Ratonhnhaké:ton.
Ratonhnhaké:ton is a Kanien'kehá:ka man who becomes an Assassin during the American Revolution. The name Connor is adopted later, partly to make interactions with colonial society easier and to honor the man who raises him.
Assassin's Creed III alternates between Connor's story and that of Haytham Kenway. Haytham is Connor's biological father and begins the game as a Templar, creating a family conflict within the wider Assassin-Templar struggle.
The name is commonly written with punctuation and diacritics as Ratonhnhaké:ton. Connor is the familiar English name used throughout much of the game, but it is not his original Kanien'kehá:ka name. This distinction separates him from other characters named Kenway in the franchise.
