What is the full title of the 1997 Mortal Kombat action-adventure game starring Sub-Zero?

The full title is Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero.

Released in 1997, Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero is a side-scrolling action-adventure game focused on the original Sub-Zero, Bi-Han. Its story takes place before the first Mortal Kombat tournament and follows Bi-Han’s mission to recover an ancient amulet for Quan Chi.

The game expands the series’ mythology by exploring Quan Chi, the elemental gods, and the origins of several conflicts later used in the main fighting games. It is therefore a prequel rather than another numbered tournament entry.

Mortal Kombat: Special Forces is a different 2000 spin-off centered on Jax. Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, released in 2005, follows Liu Kang and Kung Lao, so neither title is the Sub-Zero prequel.
