What is the full name of Assassin's Creed II's main protagonist?

Assassin's Creed II's main protagonist is Ezio Auditore da Firenze.

Ezio is introduced as a young Florentine nobleman whose family is executed after a political conspiracy. He then joins the Assassin Brotherhood and spends decades opposing Templar forces across Renaissance Italy.

Assassin's Creed II follows Ezio through Florence, Monteriggioni, Venice, and other locations. His story continues in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin's Creed: Revelations, making him the central figure of the series' original trilogy of games.

Players sometimes shorten his name to Ezio Auditore, but “da Firenze” is part of his full character name. He is distinct from Altaïr, the protagonist of the first game, and from Desmond Miles, the modern-day character whose genetic memories connect several historical narratives.
