Quidditch is the fictional wizarding sport played in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series. Matches take place on broomsticks, with two teams competing to score through hoops and catch the Golden Snitch.
Each team has seven players: three Chasers, two Beaters, one Keeper, and one Seeker. The Quaffle is used for most scoring, while Bludgers disrupt play and the Seeker pursues the Snitch.
Quidditch is not the same as Quodpot, another wizarding game mentioned in the wider fictional world. The sport also inspired real-world broomstick games, although those modern versions have developed their own rules and names.
