What is the Elvish name for the Grey Havens in Tolkien’s Middle-earth?

The story behind the answer

The Elvish name for the Grey Havens in Tolkien’s Middle-earth is Mithlond.

Mithlond is a Sindarin name meaning “Grey Havens.” It refers to the port on the Gulf of Lhûn where ships depart westward from Middle-earth. The haven was founded by Círdan the Shipwright, one of the oldest and most important Elves remaining in the west of the continent.

At the end of The Lord of the Rings, Frodo and Bilbo travel to the Grey Havens with Gandalf, Elrond, Galadriel, and others. They board a ship there and sail into the West, leaving Middle-earth. Sam, Merry, and Pippin accompany Frodo to the port before returning home.

Mithlond is sometimes confused with Rivendell, another Elvish refuge, or Lothlórien, the woodland realm ruled by Galadriel and Celeborn. Esgaroth is Lake-town, a human settlement near the Lonely Mountain. The name Mithlond is specifically connected with the coastal harbor and its shipwrights.
