The Assassin’s Creed III protagonist is commonly called Connor.
Connor is the adopted name of Ratonhnhaké:ton, a Kanien’kehá:ka man who becomes involved with the Assassin–Templar conflict during the American Revolution. The game presents his Indigenous heritage and his connections to several communities and historical figures.
Connor is trained by Achilles Davenport, a retired Assassin who becomes his mentor. His father, Haytham Kenway, is a Templar, making the game’s family conflict central to its story.
Assassin’s Creed III was released in 2012. Its historical sections include Boston, New York, and frontier environments, while the modern-day plot continues Desmond Miles’s storyline. “Ratonhnhaké:ton” is the character’s birth name, but “Connor” is the name most commonly used in the game and series materials.
