What is Pokémon Pokopia’s in-game challenge called the Team Initiation Challenge?

The challenge in Pokémon Pokopia is called the Team Initiation Challenge. Ditto encounters it through a mysterious tower while working with Professor Tangrowth to restore the world’s habitats.

During the challenge, Ditto must provide certain items supposedly needed for the wellbeing of Pokémon. The task initially appears to be an organized test connected to the tower and its instructions, adding mystery to the game’s otherwise peaceful rebuilding activities.

The challenge also connects to the game’s final story reveal. After Ditto and Professor Tangrowth restore habitats and complete it, a celebration with party poppers accidentally activates an emergency evacuation protocol. The structure is revealed to be a rocket ship, linking the challenge to the hidden history of humanity’s departure.
