What is Peakychu’s special problem in Pokémon Pokopia?

Peakychu’s special problem in Pokémon Pokopia is that it cannot generate electricity.

Peakychu is a special Pikachu encountered during the story. Although Pikachu are traditionally associated with electric power, this character has lost the ability to generate electricity, making its condition an individual story detail rather than a general rule about the species.

The character is one of several named Pokémon with distinctive circumstances. Other examples include Smearguru, an unusually talented Smeargle, and Mosslax, a Snorlax covered by moss and other plants after sleeping for a very long time.

Peakychu’s name resembles Pikachu, which can make the character seem like a separate species. It is instead a named Pikachu character with a specific personal problem that the player encounters while restoring the world.
