What is Mother's Milk's civilian name in The Boys?

The story behind the answer

Mother’s Milk’s civilian name in The Boys television series is Marvin T. Milk.

Known as M.M., Marvin is a central member of Billy Butcher’s team and is portrayed by Laz Alonso. The character is a former U.S. Marine and battlefield medic whose calm, methodical personality often makes him the group’s practical counterweight to Butcher’s recklessness.

The television adaptation changed several details from the comics. In the original comic, Mother’s Milk is named Baron Wallis and has superhuman abilities because of Compound V exposure before birth. The television version instead presents Marvin as an ordinary human with military training, a daughter named Janine, and an ex-wife named Monique.

His nickname is tied to his surname and his nurturing, “mothering” role within the team. The name is therefore not a reference to a superhero alias shared with another character. A common mix-up is confusing Marvin T. Milk with Nathan Franklin, a separate Supe introduced later in the television series. The actor Laz Alonso has played M.M. throughout the live-action adaptation.
