What does Pokémon Pokopia reveal the humans used to leave Earth?

Pokémon Pokopia reveals that the humans used a rocket ship to leave Earth.

The game’s story gradually explains that environmental changes made the landscape inhospitable to life. Humans eventually departed for outer space, but they could not take all their Pokémon with them. Instead, they created a large computer system intended to preserve the Pokémon population and release Pokémon if the system began to fail.

The rocket ship revelation occurs after Ditto and Professor Tangrowth complete the Team Initiation Challenge. A celebration involving party poppers accidentally activates an emergency evacuation protocol, exposing the structure’s true purpose and sending it into space.

This twist can be missed if the story is described only as a habitat-building adventure. Pokopia combines its gentle reconstruction gameplay with a larger science-fiction mystery about the vanished humans, the stored Pokémon, and the eventual connection between the abandoned world and space.
