What did Dennis Nedry steal from the park?

Dennis Nedry stole dinosaur embryos from Jurassic Park. He was bribed by Lewis Dodgson of Biosyn to steal frozen embryos so the rival company could reproduce InGen’s genetically engineered animals.

Nedry used his knowledge as the park’s computer programmer to disable security systems and electric fences. He then entered the embryo-storage area and placed the embryos in a specially designed container disguised as a can of shaving cream.

The embryos were not dinosaur eggs, fossils, or loose DNA samples. They were laboratory-preserved embryos belonging to the species InGen had created for the park. In the novel, Nedry is described as stealing embryos for all 15 of the park’s dinosaur species.

His escape failed when a tropical storm caused him to get lost while driving toward the dock. He crashed his Jeep and was killed by a Dilophosaurus, leaving the stolen embryo canister buried in the mud.
