What country is listed as the country of origin for Peaky Blinders?

What country is listed as the country of origin for Peaky Blinders? The answer is the United Kingdom. The television series is a British historical crime drama created by Steven Knight and produced primarily for the BBC.

Peaky Blinders is set mainly in Birmingham, England, beginning in 1919, just after the First World War. Its story follows the Shelby family and their criminal organisation, led by Tommy Shelby, played by Cillian Murphy. Although the drama draws on the name and reputation of a real Birmingham street gang, its main characters and plots are fictionalised.

The country listing refers to the television production, not a claim that every character or historical influence represents the whole UK equally. The series first aired on BBC Two in 2013 before later seasons moved to BBC One. It ran for six series and 36 episodes, ending its original television run in 2022. Canada, the United States and Ireland are sometimes selected because the show has international settings, actors or distribution, but none is its listed country of origin.
