Which BAFTA TV Award did Peaky Blinders win in 2018?

Peaky Blinders won the 2018 BAFTA TV Award for Best Drama Series.

The award was presented at the British Academy Television Awards on 13 May 2018 at London’s Royal Festival Hall. The BBC Two crime drama competed against major nominees including Line of Duty and The Crown, but its combination of period atmosphere, family conflict and tightly controlled storytelling prevailed.

The series follows the Shelby family and their criminal empire in Birmingham after the First World War. Although the show is often associated with Cillian Murphy’s performance as Tommy Shelby, the Best Drama Series award recognized the series as a whole rather than a single actor or episode.

A common mix-up is Best Mini-Series, another 2018 BAFTA drama category. Peaky Blinders was nominated in the Best Drama Series field, while Three Girls won Best Mini-Series. The show later received further BAFTA attention, but this 2018 result specifically refers to its series-level drama win.
