What company created the Mega Man series?
Answer
Capcom
Answer
Capcom
Capcom created the Mega Man series. The Japanese video-game company developed and published the original Mega Man, released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987.
The franchise began with the robot hero Rock, known as Mega Man outside Japan. Capcom designer Akira Kitamura and artist Keiji Inafune were among the key creators of the original game. Its central gameplay innovation let players choose which Robot Master stage to tackle first and then copy that boss's weapon.
Nintendo is commonly confused with Mega Man because the first games appeared on Nintendo hardware, but Nintendo did not create the character or series. Konami and Sega likewise published or developed many famous game franchises, but Mega Man belongs to Capcom. The series later expanded into subseries including Mega Man X, Mega Man Zero, Mega Man ZX, Legends, Battle Network, and Star Force.
