What color is Obi Wan Kenobi's lightsaber?
Answer
Blue
Answer
Blue
Obi-Wan Kenobi’s lightsaber is blue. Across his years as a Jedi, he used three different lightsabers, and each had a blue plasma blade.
His first lightsaber was built while he was Qui-Gon Jinn’s apprentice and had a design influenced by his master’s weapon. Darth Maul knocked it into a shaft during the Battle of Naboo. Obi-Wan then constructed a replacement with a similar hilt and another blue blade. After becoming a Jedi Master, he built a third blue-bladed lightsaber, which he used during the Clone Wars and the final years of the Jedi Order.
A common mix-up comes from other major Jedi weapons. Qui-Gon Jinn’s lightsaber was green, Mace Windu’s was purple, and Sith lightsabers such as Darth Vader’s were red. Obi-Wan also recovered Anakin Skywalker’s blue lightsaber after their duel on Mustafar, but that was Anakin’s weapon—not Obi-Wan’s personal saber. In Star Wars: A New Hope, Obi-Wan’s own weapon is again shown with a blue blade.
