Mr. Bean’s stuffed bear Teddy is usually shown as brown.
Teddy is Mr. Bean’s most recognizable companion in the original live-action series. The bear is treated by Bean as a living friend, even though other characters generally regard it as an inanimate toy. This relationship supplies many of the series’ visual jokes, including scenes in which Bean protects, repairs, disguises, or otherwise uses Teddy in elaborate plans.
Teddy’s brown appearance is consistent across the original television programme and later Mr. Bean merchandise and adaptations. The character also appears in the animated series, where the simplified visual style preserves the familiar bear design.
The bear’s name is Teddy, but it is not normally presented with a separate personal surname. Viewers sometimes confuse Teddy with Scrapper, the cat associated with Mrs. Wicket in the animated series. They are different characters: Teddy is Bean’s stuffed bear, while Scrapper is a cat.
