Bella’s pickup truck in the 2008 movie Twilight is red.
The truck is one of Bella Swan’s most recognizable possessions in the first Twilight film. Her father, Charlie, gives it to her after she moves from Phoenix, Arizona, to Forks, Washington. Its faded red-orange appearance fits Bella’s practical, low-key personality and sharply contrasts with the expensive, polished vehicles driven by the Cullen family.
Fans sometimes give a different answer because the truck’s details vary between the novel and the film. In Stephenie Meyer’s book, Bella’s vehicle is described as a red 1953 Chevrolet pickup. For the 2008 movie, the production used a more modern 1963 Chevrolet C-10 Stepside pickup. The year and exact model therefore depend on whether the question concerns the book or the screen adaptation.
The color, however, remains the straightforward answer for the movie version. The truck appears during Bella’s arrival in Forks, her school scenes, and the parking-lot sequence in which Edward saves her from Tyler Crowley’s van. It became an enduring symbol of the original film.
