What city has been Boeing’s corporate headquarters since 2022?

Boeing’s corporate headquarters has been in Arlington, Virginia, since 2022.

Boeing announced the headquarters move from Chicago to Arlington in May 2022. The company selected the Northern Virginia location because of its proximity to customers, suppliers, technology companies, and the United States government. Boeing’s Arlington offices are in the Crystal City area, which is also part of the broader National Landing development.

The move did not mean that Boeing abandoned Washington state. Boeing continues to operate major design, engineering, manufacturing, and testing facilities in Washington, including sites associated with its commercial-airplane programs. Chicago had been Boeing’s headquarters since 2001, after the company moved its corporate center from Seattle. Arlington therefore became the company’s third headquarters location in the modern Boeing era. The headquarters move concerns corporate leadership and administration, not the location of every Boeing aircraft program.
