What catchphrase does the T-800 say in The Terminator?
Answer
I’ll be back
Answer
I’ll be back
The T-800 says “I’ll be back” in The Terminator.
The line is spoken by Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator during a confrontation at a police station. After being told that he cannot leave Sarah Connor’s location, the machine calmly says the phrase and later returns by driving a car through the building’s entrance.
“I’ll be back” became one of the best-known lines associated with Schwarzenegger and the franchise. It is often incorrectly attributed to Terminator 2 because that sequel contains many famous T-800 lines, but the phrase originates in the 1984 film.
Another frequently confused quotation is “Hasta la vista, baby,” which is associated with Terminator 2: Judgment Day. “There is no fate but what we make for ourselves” is also strongly linked to the series, but it is not the T-800’s short catchphrase in the original film.
