Liberty, introduced in PAW Patrol: The Movie, is a Dachshund.
Liberty is a street-smart pup who lives in Adventure City, the setting of the first PAW Patrol theatrical film. She contacts the existing team when the city faces trouble and becomes an important ally during the rescue. Her long-bodied appearance and short legs reflect the characteristic shape of a Dachshund.
Liberty is distinct from the pups who form the original television team. She was created for the 2021 film and was not one of the franchise’s earliest core characters. The character’s introduction expands the team’s world beyond Adventure Bay and gives the movie a local guide who already understands the city.
Her breed is sometimes mixed up with other small dog breeds because animated designs simplify physical features. Liberty’s role, pink vehicle, and city setting also distinguish her from similarly sized pups in the wider franchise. Later PAW Patrol stories continue to use her as a recurring member of the group.
