Chase is the PAW Patrol character who is a police officer and German Shepherd.
Chase is the team’s primary police and security specialist. He commonly handles traffic control, tracking, crowd safety, and law-enforcement-style tasks using a police-themed vehicle and equipment. His training also includes rescue work, so his role extends beyond ordinary policing.
His German Shepherd breed is one of the character’s most recognizable identifying facts. Chase’s blue uniform and police pup-pack equipment reinforce that identity, making him one of the easiest core pups to distinguish visually.
Chase is sometimes confused with other team members because the pups can share missions and use different tools depending on the emergency. Marshall handles firefighting and medical work, while Rubble focuses on construction. Chase’s defining combination is therefore his police role, blue gear, and German Shepherd breed.
