What breed is Arrby in the PAW Patrol franchise?

Arrby is a Dachshund in the PAW Patrol franchise.

Arrby is associated with Mayor Humdinger and appears as a canine companion in the television franchise. His long body and short legs reflect the characteristic silhouette of a Dachshund, a breed commonly recognized for its elongated shape.

Arrby is not part of Ryder’s regular rescue team. That distinction matters because the franchise includes many dogs beyond the main pups, including pets, rivals, and supporting characters connected with different towns and storylines. Arrby’s association with Humdinger places him on the antagonist side of many episodes.

Viewers may confuse Arrby with a Basset Hound because both breeds have long bodies and relatively short legs. The character’s stated breed is Dachshund, however. The name is sometimes written or pronounced differently by viewers, but the character and breed remain the same across the franchise’s English character references.
