What band does "The Voice" coach Adam Levine front?

The band fronted by The Voice coach Adam Levine is Maroon 5. Levine is the group’s lead singer and became its most recognizable public face through hit songs and his television appearances.

Before Maroon 5, Levine and several future members performed in a Los Angeles band called Kara’s Flowers. After that group’s first album failed to make a major impact, the musicians regrouped, added guitarist James Valentine, and adopted the name Maroon 5 in 2001.

Their breakthrough came with Songs About Jane, released in 2002. The album produced songs including “Harder to Breathe,” “This Love,” and “She Will Be Loved,” turning the band into an international pop-rock success. Later hits included “Moves Like Jagger,” “Payphone,” and “Sugar.”
