What alias does Tangrowth use in Pokémon Pokopia?

Tangrowth uses the alias Professor Tangrowth in Pokémon Pokopia.

Professor Tangrowth is the Pokémon who studies the damaged environment alongside Ditto. The character has taken responsibility for investigating why the world became inhospitable and why humans and Pokémon disappeared.

The title “Professor” connects the character to the research tradition familiar from Pokémon stories, where professors study Pokémon and regional history. However, this is not one of the human professors from the main series. The character is a Tangrowth with a distinctive role created for Pokopia.

Professor Tangrowth helps establish the game’s mystery and gives Ditto a reason to explore the surrounding habitats. The pair then work together as the Pokémon population gradually returns to restored areas.
