Sean Patrick Flanery portrayed the teenage Indiana Jones in The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.
The ABC series, created and executive-produced by George Lucas, followed Indiana Jones through childhood, adolescence, and early adulthood. Flanery played Indy from ages 16 to 21, while Corey Carrier portrayed him as a boy aged roughly 8 to 10. George Hall appeared as an elderly Jones in the framing segments of most episodes.
The teenage version of Indy travels widely and becomes involved in major events surrounding the First World War. His adventures bring him into contact with historical figures such as T. E. Lawrence, Theodore Roosevelt, Sigmund Freud, and Ernest Hemingway. The show's educational, globe-spanning format made it considerably more historical in tone than the feature films.
A common mix-up is Harrison Ford, who did appear in the series as a middle-aged, 50-year-old Indiana Jones in one episode. River Phoenix played a teenage Indy only in the opening sequence of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, not in the television series.
