Dive lets Ditto explore underwater in Pokémon Pokopia. The ability was added in a later update and opens aquatic areas that cannot be reached during ordinary land exploration.
Dive is connected to Bubbly Basin, the first part of the game’s three-part paid expansion pass. The aquatic area introduces new underwater exploration opportunities, Pokémon encounters, and furniture with an aquatic theme.
The ability is easy to confuse with Surf, Waterfall, or Whirlpool because all four names are associated with water in Pokémon games. In Pokopia, however, the specific ability used to reach underwater regions is Dive.
This addition expanded the game’s original land-focused restoration loop. Players could already create habitats, build structures, and attract Pokémon; underwater access added another environment to cultivate and investigate.
