The villains in the 2007 movie Transformers are known as the Decepticons. They are a faction of sentient robotic beings from the planet Cybertron who oppose the heroic Autobots.
In the film, the Decepticons are led by Megatron, who has come to Earth seeking the AllSpark, the powerful object capable of creating or reviving Transformers. Their plan brings them into conflict with Optimus Prime and the Autobots, as well as the humans caught in the battle.
Several Decepticons become recognizable characters in the movie. Starscream serves as Megatron’s ambitious second-in-command, while Blackout, Barricade, Frenzy, Bonecrusher, Brawl, and Scorponok each use distinctive vehicle or equipment forms. Their ability to disguise themselves as military hardware, vehicles, and machines is central to the movie’s premise.
The name Decepticon comes from the wider Transformers franchise and is paired with Autobot, the opposing faction. Although individual characters such as Megatron are major villains, the group name sought by this question is Decepticons.
